The festival happens once a year to determine who is the longest hitter in Japan. For the past several years September has been a time for WORKS Golf to re-enforce it’s dominance in the long driver championship. As has happened countless times before, in 2008 the WORKS team nearly monopolized the event. The competition was fierce as always and this time it was the Maximax Spade wielded by Mr. Park that took the glory. His 406 yard drive flew straight and stayed in bounds to steal away his peers dreams.

The runner up with a fantastic 387 yards was WORKS own Mr. Takashi. His ability to consistently fly over 380 yards impressed everyone at the event. ” I don't get a lot time to practice because of m work so I am thrilled to come in 2nd place and secured a spot at the biggest long drive championship in the world in Las Vegas. The senior division was also added to WORKS long list of winning achievements. With last years runner up by one yard, Mr. Takeuchi, enjoying sweet revenge. “Last year I had to settle for second place but this year, with the help of the Maximax Spade, victory became possible and helped to ensure the difference between my peers was also convincing.”

With WORKS Golf securing both 1st and 2nd place, in addition to 1st in the senior division, the 2008 Japan Long Drive Championship came to and end.
